In January 2020, IFCN launched the #CoronaVirusFacts Alliance in order to counter “rampant misinformation” it had identified.1) Facebook and WhatsApp provided $2,000,000 in funding for “flash grants of up to $50,000 for fact-checkers fighting coronavirus misinformation.”
