Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity

The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) is an American intelligence agency based in Brookmont, Maryland.

IARPA was founded in 2006. It was modelled after the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), but with a focus on national intelligence rather than military needs.

IARPA operates under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
