Alberta is a province in Western Canada.
In 2011, Pfizer partnered with various Alberta public agencies to create the Alberta/Pfizer Translational Research Collaboration Fund. The collaborators included the Alberta Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (EDT), Alberta Innovates, and Western Economic Diversification Canada. The fund was intended to support a collaborative health innovation and commercialization model in Alberta.1) 2) This was later renamed to the Pfizer-Alberta Collaboration in Health.
The fund totalled $3,500,000 in 2013, with an additional $1.3 million of investment added in 2018.
