**OsteopathyBC**, previously called the **Society for the Promotion of Manual Practice Osteopathy**, is a Canadian membership association based [[canada:british_columbia:Vancouver]], [[canada:British Columbia]].

On May 14, 2014, SPMPO President [[Gail Abernethy]] sent a letter to Director of Professional Health Regulation [[Darryl Beckett]] sharing a report prepared by the [[Osteopathic International Alliance]] (OIA) and the [[World Health Organization]] (WHO) on the contributions of the osteopathic profession.((MacKinnon, M., & Jodouin, L.
