She received her Medical degree from the [[Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry]] at the [[University of Western Ontario]]. She completed her training in Internal Medicine and Adult Critical Care Medicine at the [[University of Toronto]]. She has a Master’s of Science in Health Policy, Planning & Financing from the [[London School of Economics & Policy]], and the [[London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine]], and was awarded the [[Brian Abel Smith]] award for top marks in her course work and thesis.
