The **Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA)** is an American intelligence agency based in [[united_states:maryland:Brookmont]], [[united_states:Maryland]].

IARPA was founded in 2006. It was modelled after the [[Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency]] (DARPA), but with a focus on national intelligence rather than military needs.
