**The Children's Investment Fund Management**, or **TCI Fund Management**, is a British hedge fund management firm based in [[united_kingdom:england:London]], [[united_kingdom:England]]. It was founded in 2003 by [[Chris Hohn]], and manages The Children’s Investment Master Fund.

===== Organization =====

TCI derives its name from a charitable foundation called [[Children's Investment Fund Foundation]] (CIFF), set up by Chris Hohn and his ex-wife, [[Jamie Cooper-Hohn]]. In an example of "venture philanthropy" or "philanthrocapitalism", CIFF was set up to automatically receive a portion of profits from TCI fund management.
