In 2011, [[:pharmaceutical_companies:Pfizer]] partnered with various Alberta public agencies to create the Alberta/Pfizer Translational Research Collaboration Fund. The collaborators included the [[:Alberta Ministry of Economic Development and Trade]] (EDT), [[:Alberta Innovates]], and [[:Western Economic Diversification Canada]]. The fund totalled $3,500,000 in 2013, with an additional $1.3 million of investment added in 2018.
