Lee worked at [[AT&T]] from September 2003 to October 2004, then jumped to a longer-term position at [[Google]] as a staff software engineer. Lee was fatally stabbed near downtown [[united_states:california:San Francisco]], [[united_states:California]] on April 4, 2023. He was brought to [[San Francisco General Hospital]] where he was pronounced dead.((Drenon, B.
