-The biggest problem (as I see it, which needs to be discussed) is how to rationally deal with unfounded fear.
-We need to get a better understanding of how fear has been used through history to manipulate people.
-In fact, any emotion can be used to manipulate people. Fear, greed, guilt, lust are some of the most powerful emotions, and severely hinder any attempt to look at things rationally.
-How do we best engage with people who have lost touch with reason and are entirely driven by emotions?
-(Possible answer:) Carefully deconstruct the narrative to point out how it was tailored to prey on their emotions.
